Igbos living in Delaware, USA on Saturday December 8, 2018 declared total support for the YPP candidate in the National Assembly elections for Bende Federal Constituency.

Dr. Charles Obinna Chukwunaru, who was the special guest of honour at the event urged Ndigbo in Diaspora to pay serious attention on political developments back home in Nigeria; noting that whatever resources they struggle to acquire abroad can only be enjoyed by them if those at home are okay. He pointed that as long as our kinsmen back home in Nigeria are in danger of starvation and disease due to bad government, those in Diaspora will continue to support them, thereby denying those in the Diaspora the opportunity to enjoy their hard earned resources.

Dr. Chukwunaru, further lamented the sorry state of Ndigbo in Nigerian politics as well as lack of any tangible Federal presence in Igboland since the end of the Nigeria Civil War in January 1970. According the Conflict Prevention, Management and Resolution expert, the absence of a peaceful negotiated settlement of the Nigeria civil war, coupled with the bastardisation of the 1963 republican constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria, makes violent intrastate conflicts inevitably endemic in the country and that the only solution is to revert back to 1963 constitutional (the only constitution freely formulated by Nigerians and freely subscribed to by all Nigerians) arrangement which recognises our unity in diversity and also creates the enabling environment for all the regions to unleash their creative endowment without let or hinderance; as every region will creatively develop at its own pace. He also lamented that a situation where the most populous black nation in the world depends solely on crude oil (which is not just a volatile asset but a declining commodity), is not just scary but a direct invitation to economy instability and portrays our political class as a lazy, economically illiterate and parasitically hopeless leaders.

Furthermore, Dr Chukwunaru assured his audience that a vote for YPP is the vote that will ensure that the poorest persons in the society shall be capable of feeding their family, have shelter and clothing and also send their children to school without stress.

In her address of welcome, the President of the group, Lolo Ihuoma Okorie noted that IAD USA has empowered several Igbos residents in Delaware. She also declared that IAD USA is in total support of any political party and candidate that will alleviate the sufferings of the poor masses in Nigeria, especially YPP and its Federal House of Representatives candidate in Bende Federal Constituency Of Abia State, Dr. Charles Obinna Chukwunaru.

The Uzuakoli and Bende groups in Delaware had earlier hosted the YPP candidate Dr Chukwuanru to a dinner party; where they enthusiastically endorsed him and pledged to leave no stone unturned in order to ensure his smooth victory in the 2019 general elections in Nigeria.

The Uzuakoli and Bende groups in Delaware led by Dr Vincent Chilasa Ikwuagwu, Mr. Chukwuma Madukwe, Mrs Ekwy Madukwe, Chief Chukwuemeka Okorie, Lolo Ihuoma Okorie, Evangeline Onwanma Okorie, Mr Ogbonnaya Amonyeze and Mrs. Kanayochi Ikwuagwu; expressed confidence in the capacity of Dr. Charles Obinnaya Chukwunaru to bring positive change and accelerated development in Bende Federal Constituency when elected into office.
