MY APPRECIATION TO THE GOOD PEOPLE OF BENDE AND THE WAY FORWARD.
For the past two weeks or there about, I have been inundated by calls from numerous Bende people at home and abroad all with one request.
I feel so very honoured by the lavish encomiums poured on me by our people mainly for me to throw my hat into the arena of politics to rescue Bende from the decay and backwardness it is presently enmeshed.
Bende Diasporans in South Africa, U.S, U.K, France and even Malaysia have called and written me to place my service at their disposal as the LG Chairman.
The effusion of love and complete belief in my ability to rescue Bende as expressed by our people is benumbing and I am greatly humbled.
Imagine if it were possible for me to contest for that position, I would have done the impossible to change the Bende narrative. But as a good party man, I sincerely wish to state as follows:
a. That I appreciate your love and belief in me;
b. That our great party APC have for equity sake zoned the LG chairmanship position to Bende south;
c. That I am ineligible to present myself for this position but would gladly suggest and support a strong and credible personality from Ikwuisi for same position;
d. That the Ikwuisii personality is imbued with critical talent of democratic value;
e. That Chief Ikenna Ariwodo from Uzuakoli is one man that can restore the vanished Bende pride;
f. That you transfer all the love, belief and support you gave me to him;
g. That I proudly append my signature of guarantorship on his candidacy.
Arising from the above, I gladly stand down my ambition and transfer same to Chief Ariwodo, a notable philanthropist, community leader, and astute businessman. Obinudo as he is fondly called by admirers will make all of us proud in Bende. And this day, I wish to heartily present Chief Ariwodo to you all to do the needful. Believe me, we will do this laughing IJN.
