REP HON. BENJAMIN KALU, HON. EMMAUNEL NDUBUISI, CHIEF IKENNA ARIWODO AND FRIENDS BID FINAL FAREWELL TO PROF CHRIS OKEZIE IJIOMA.

The remains of late prof Chris Okezie Ijioma was committed to mother earth on the 3rd of October 2020 at his country home in Uzuakoli, Ngwu village in Bende L.G.A.

The well attended funeral had lots of personalities from different works of life, converging to pay their last respect to an icon who lived an exemplary worthy life while on earth. Hon. Emmanuel Ndubuisi (Abia State House of Assembly Member, Representing Bende South) and House Representative Member, Hon.Benjamin Kalu accompanied by Chief Daniel Akwari( Osuuzo1 of Item), Chief Ikenna Ariwodo, Hon Emma Trump Eke (DG), Prof Victor Ukaogo and host of other dignitaries.

Prof Chris Okezie Ijioma, a renown don at the university of calabar was rep Benjamin Kalu's philosophy and logic lecturer who taught him during his days at the university. He was later annex into rep Benjamin Kalu's elders in council campaign committee during the 2019 general election where he contributed immensely to the success of the committee.

Granting interview during the funeral rites, Rep Benjamin Kalu said "we lost a rare gem, an iroko. We lost an icon who understands what true benevolence is. He lived it with what has done at Unical and the world all over, he will forever be remembered " he enthused.

Taking turn to speak, Chief Ikenna Ariwodo, noted that the Ijioma's family, has been one where good values are nurtured and Pro Chris had strongly impacted that while he was alive. He prayed for the eternal repose of the late university don ,as he enjoined the family to continue in his footsteps, as he was known to have lived a good exemplary life.

Chief Daniel Akwari while speaking said " to many, prof Chris Okezie Ijioma is regarded as a saint for his numerous selfless service to humanity. We wish him eternal rest as he sojourn to the great world beyond, having lived a fulfilled and purposeful life " he concluded.

Prof Chris Okezie Ijioma, until his death, was a staunch Christian who has supported the faith tremendously and promote good virtues.
